Joints Pain Cold Weather

The symptoms arthritis may vary with the type of disease that you have. It is most common in people of older age but it can affect people of all ages. When it occurs people may feel excruciating pain or sudden burst of pain. There are three main types. These types are rheumatoid, osteoarthritis, and gout. All of these types share signs but they’re very different. Each of these types can cause pain in different parts of the body and effect different people. Although all of these types may share common signs, some warnings may differ.

The most common symptoms are pain and stiffness. If you’re experiencing pain and stiffness in your joints the chances are that you may have this disabling disease. It is likewise associated with swelling, redness, and decrease in range of motion. You can experience these signs at any time of day. However, it is most common at night or when you first awake. Sometimes children that develop painful rashes on their chest, wrists, ankles, and knees may have a type. If these reactions are accompanied by rapid weight loss, fever swings, and poor appetite the child may be experiencing a type of disease called juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. These symptoms will start out small and gradually worsen. The main symptom of osteoarthritis is pain in joints, most usually in the hand, knees, lower back, neck, and hip.

The last type we’re going to discuss is gout. This occurs because the body isn’t properly eliminating the natural substance uric acid. When uric acid builds up in the body it forms crystals in the joints. This crystal has been known to cause severe pain. The pain is most often experienced in the toes, knees and wrist joints.
