Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammation of the joints. This disease is classified as an autoimmune disease because people who suffer from this condition have antibodies in their blood that place their own body tissues. The joints are attacked by mistake by the body immune system, as a result. The condition is likely to occur in people between 40 and 50. It is very common in the United States and as many as 2 million Americans are diagnosed with this disease. In fact, it is the more common form of arthritis in the United States. Women are more prone to arthritis than men in the ratio 3:1.
How bad is marijuana?…really…?OK so I am currently double majoring in electrical engineering and computer science at Georgia Tech. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA since I was a freshman in high school. I have done internships with Harris down in Florida and been offered several jobs even though I am still a Junior. I also light up almost every day and have been since about 10th grade. People say weed ruins your brain but I do not believe it has hindered by studies at all. I feel just as motivated and focused as I have been my whole life. For me, marijuana is the perfect way to relax after a long night of studying and I honestly believe I would NOT be as successful if it weren't for marijuana. I get excellent sleep every night and I am focused and ready to go the next morning. Can someone please explain why there is such a resistance to this plant and why it is not legal? (P.S. I do not drink or party hardly at all- most of my free time is spent studying or programming or with my girlfriend) @ Tim: I NEVER plan on using anything except marijuana and I actually plan on quitting weed once college is over (because of drug tests and such). If I feel the need to get "higher" or "more relaxed" I simply stop smoking for a couple days and let my resistance go back down…I can not think of any reason why anyone would ever use marijuana as a "gateway" drug to harder substances…if anything they could just drink and smoke and get crossfaded…that's probably better than any high you'll get from meth or coke lol.

Marijuana doesn't contain nicotine in it. Hence, it is not addictive. Thus, I don't think it is bad at all. "GOD MADE WEED MAN MADE BEER IN GOD WE TRUST"
It is subject to what researchers call the volunteer effects. Many idiots smoke because they don't have anything else to do. It isn't smoking that makes them dumb.
Marijuana is one of those strange drugs that doesn't really do any harm to your body. Your brain activity isn't compromised (except when high, obviously), there's no serious health risks, and it isn't a depressant (as some people believe). The problem with it, however, is that it's a gateway drug. There may come a time when you take marijuana, and you feel like you need something better, something that can get you a better high, or become even more relaxed. That's when you start taking severe depressants, hallucinogens, etc. that do cause severe body damage and even death. Marijuana itself isn't a health risk, since there are medical benefits for using it. But it's a gateway drug, and it can lead you into incredibly dangerous substances.
I'm currently in 9th grade and I've always had a 4.0 GPA I was Valedictorian in elementary and I've always been in the talented and gifted classes 😀 I smoke weed and drink and I've never studied a day in my life [ what a waste of time xD]. So really, I disagree with the negative remarks because everything they said is the exact opposite for me 😀 and I'm assuming you too xD Marijuana actually helps some things like insomina. But people like to push past the good stuff it does and criticize it just because its a drug. The whole reason why I think it's not legal is because its a drug thats catorgorized with cocoaine and stuff. But I think that they should make it legal for several reasons, to help our economy, make people happy and for this debate to be over.
